This course is an interdisciplinary approach to the health sciences. Scholars will learn fundamental medical terminology, prepare the pursuit of careers in the fields of biotechnology research, therapeutics, health informatics, diagnostics, and support services, compare and contrast the features of healthcare systems, explain the legal and ethical ramifications of the healthcare setting, and begin to perform foundational healthcare skills. The course will include an internship with a healthcare professional.
